Box, the person at the polling place explained that it would have been fraudulent for us to have just shown up to vote next tuesday without having officially entered our new address in the system. definitely glad we exercised the option to vote early. :-) I’m posting this comment from a friend in CA regarding her voting experience on EARLY VOTING:

The amount of names that are being tossed off voter rolls in purges of one kind or another is very substantial. I heard in CA that 28% of names were removed in CA when a match-up of some kind was done with the DMV. If the name didn't fit EXACTLY with the voter registration, the voter was taken off! This is just downright unconstitutional. All voters in every state, even if they think they are registered from a previous election, need to check they still are. Everyone must continue to be as energetic and enthusiastic as they have been up to now, more so. There are too many snafus that could still happen. The reds are counting on it, I suspect.
