Michelle Obama stopped by the town square in Las Vegas, New Mexico yesterday. Around 3,200 multi-hued people came out to see her speak about Vote Early for Change. Here are a few shots from the sunny afternoon, made while her husband roused thousands in Pennsylvania in the pouring rain. I was fairly close to the podium. What a treat.

From the Larry King interview this month to now, I have to say Michelle Obama is the real deal. She is genuine, she is caring. She is gracious. Just like her husband. I shouted to her above the furor when she came by the rail, You are the dream team! I doubt she heard me, and while I am under no illusions that the next president of the US faces inordinate challenges never seen before in this country’s history, I know Obama—along with his cabinet and advisors—will be able to handle it equal to, or better than, any president of the last 43.
